Job description: Job Summary: Under general supervision, performs A/P, cash, A/R, general ledger, and financial reporting functions. Assists the Controller in month-end activities, audit functions, financial reporting analysis, and budget preparation. Responsibilities: • Performs accounts payable duties to include collection of invoices and coding, accurate posting into accounting software, generating payments, and vendor relations • Coordinates cash handling including petty cash distribution and reconciliation, safe counts with overages and shortages follow-up, cash ordering, courier relations, and cash controls • Performs accounts receivable functions including daily posting and balancing of cash receipts: check, electronic bill-pay, ACH, credit card, and deposit processing • Prepares daily cash statement and maintains detailed reconciliation of all needed balance sheet accounts, including bank and credit card statements • Prepares month-end journal entries and runs various month-end reports • Prepares and distributes monthly financial statements • Assists the Controller with annual audit preparation and special projects • Performs other tasks and duties as assigned.
Experience/Qualifications: Required Competencies: • 2+ years progressive accounting/finance experience in accounting/finance department with a strong operational and transactional background • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance from four-year college or university, or relevant work experience. • Must have strong technology skills (Microsoft Office Suite especially strong Excel skills) • Proficient knowledge of Asyst Data Systems and related accounting software preferred. • Excellent customer service skills and mindset, effective communications skill, both oral and written, exception organizational, multi-tasking, and prioritizing skills

Job description: The Aquascaper reports directly to the Lake Biologist and is responsible for maintaining the aesthetic appearance of the Association's beaches and lake in order to maintain a clean and safe recreational environment for members and their guests. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: removing floating debris along the entire shoreline and docks; removing visible underwater debris and weeds in order to maintain access for boating, fishing and swimming; taking and testing water samples under the supervision of the Lake Biologist; adhering to established safety standards; attending a monthly safety meeting; and always providing a friendly and attentive welcome to and interaction with our members and guests.  Hours/Days: up to 24 hours per week (Summer hours may increase up to 40 hours per week) *Rotating shifts: Mornings and days, weekends and holidays. Shifts vary but typically 7:00 a.m.- 4:00 p.m. daily.
Experience/Qualifications: Must be at least 18 years of age to operate a work boat. Intermediate swimming skills and an interest in lake biology. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and work outside all day. Must like spending most of the day on a boat and occasionally in the water. Should also enjoy working alone.

This is currently a part-time position consisting of mornings, afternoons and weekends including holidays. Four to six hour shifts available. Fall and winter hours range from 7:45 am - 7:00 pm depending on the month.
Experience/Qualifications: Requires good math skills; ability to calculate quickly and accurately in a busy work environment. Basic computer skills for data entry, customer service and cashier experience. Point of Sales experience preferred, but not required. Must be 16 years of age. Experience/Qualifications: Prior experience as a Fish and Game Warden, Lifeguard or Law Enforcement preferred. At least 2 years of work experience in Marketing and Communications. Experience with visual communication principals. Familiarity with web design, photography, videography, or graphic design is a plus. Ability to write reports, business correspondences, procedure manuals, newsletter articles, and website content with proper grammar, spelling, clarity, and composition. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public. Proficient in English; bilingual helpful. Experience/Qualifications: Must be at least 21 years of age, have a valid CA driver license, and a minimum of four years driving experience. Provides up-to-date information about the Association; its events, hours of operation, fish stockings, basic membership information, policies, etc., to the members and their guests. Reports problem situations, including potential issues, to supervisors as members and guests enter the gates. Updates weekly LMVA entrance marquis with current and upcoming events. Attends monthly safety training. May perform traffic control for exiting the facility during summer events. The employee is frequently working outdoors while assisting members and their guests. Regularly exposed to airborne particles from both car and gardeners. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate, but can be loud during a concert.

Attends weekly Supervisors and Managers meeting and communicates pertinent information/updates back to Gate team; mediates minor disputes with members regarding facility entrance/exit; Communicates ideas for improving gate operations. This position may perform any or all tasks that this position oversees if necessary. Supervises 10-20 part-time employees in the Gate department.
Experience/Qualifications: Must be at least 21 years of age and have a valid CA driver's license. GED and a minimum of one year's experience in supervision, hiring, coaching and counseling, employee performance assessment and writing performance reviews. Excellent customer service skills. Assists in overseeing the logging and tagging of members' boats as needed in an effort to protect the Lake from quagga mussel infestation. Training employees and assisting with supervision of Dock Attendants, leading by example, keeping the Marina Supervisor up-to-date and informed of all relevant issues/concerns. Stay up-to-date on activities and events occurring at the Lake (fish stocking, concerts, etc.) Attends monthly safety meeting and assigned trainings. Rotating shifts: days, evening, weekends and holiday.
Experience/Qualifications: One year prior experience as a Dock Attendant or Supervisor. Proven ability to train employees, direct daily work, resolve problems and address minor complaints. Must be able to frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Employment is contingent upon successful passing of a pre-employment drug test. Job description: In the absence of the Gate Attendant Supervisor, the Lead Gate Attendant is responsible for overseeing the orderly, consistent, and professional operation of the Lake access gates, thus helping to create a safe and enjoyable recreational environment for members and their guests.  Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: assists in overseeing daily operation of the entrance/exit gates; as the first point of contact, ensures information such as scheduled events, day-to-day operating time, holidays, guest policies and basic supplemental information are disseminated to Gate Attendants who in turn can knowledgeably answer members' questions; assists Gate Supervisor in updating Gate Attendants for any policy changes or upcoming events; recommends ideas to supervisor for improving gate operations; in the absence Gate Supervisor, may create and will monitor daily schedule, and may approve schedule change requests; assists in training staff for Gate Attendant position; provides frequent feedback to team member and supervisor; coaches, counsels team members;  keeps supervisor informed of any pertinent issues; mediates minor disputes with members regarding facility entrance/exit; calls Facility Supervisor or manager-on-duty to resolve escalated disputes; assists in supervising entrance and exit parameters during special events; performs other job duties as assigned.  The ideal candidate will have strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to lead and train. Job description: The Lifeguard Department seeks good swimmers for Seasonal Lifeguard positions for the Summer 2024. You must be 16 years of age, or older, on May 23, 2024, the first day of training. Applications are being accepted for summer employment. Part-time work may also be available throughout the year. Call Lifeguard Operations at 949.770.1313 ext. 218 with questions. Applicants must attend a tryout either on Feb. 18, Feb. 25 or Mar. 2. If you are unable to attend tryouts on one of these dates, please contact Lifeguard Operations at (949) 770-1313 ext. 218 or by email at [email protected] to request another date to tryout. Tryouts will be held at Lake Mission Viejo North Beach at 22555 Olympiad Rd., Mission Viejo, CA 92692. Registration starts at 9:00 am. Tryouts consist of a timed 550 yard swim in under 9 minutes 55 seconds and an interview. A Swim Release Form, with parent/legal guardian signature must be received before you may tryout if you are under 18 years of age on the day you tryout. A printable Swim Release Form can be found on the Lake Mission Viejo Lifeguard Operations page. Applicants who pass the swim test may be invited to a panel interview. Interviews will be held later that day on the day you tryout. Please arrive at least ten minutes prior to your scheduled interview time. Sharp casual dress attire is suggested.
Experience/Qualifications: You should consider applying if you are a competitive swimmer, with a strong sense of responsibility, who likes to work outdoors. Applicants invited forward from tryouts will attend a paid ten day lifeguard training academy, held on the following five weekends: To be determined.
