Trout Fishing for 2017/2018:

Lake Mission Viejo is CLOSED to all fishing the day of each trout stocking.

The February 6th  stocking has been postponed due to slowing catches.

The best trout fishing in many years has finally tapered off in the last week, probably due to Golden Algae.

There are large numbers of trout in the lake and limits are still, but less frequently, being caught.

The best fishing has been near shore the past week.

The February and March stockings are still on schedule and we will evaluate the situation on a week to week basis.
